01Why this policy exists

Voice services carry a real risk of misuse, and misuse affects other customers, carriers and the people receiving calls. This policy sets out what is not acceptable on services provided by TringPBX.

It applies alongside any service agreement. Where the two overlap, the service agreement takes precedence.

02Unacceptable use

  • Unsolicited bulk or automated calling, including any use that would be considered nuisance or scam calling in the destination market.
  • Misrepresenting the origin of a call, including presenting a calling number you are not entitled to use.
  • Attempting to obtain, route or terminate traffic fraudulently, including artificially generated traffic and revenue-share fraud.
  • Using a number or route in a way that breaches the rules of the destination country or of the carriers involved.
  • Harassing, threatening or deceiving the people receiving calls.
  • Attempting to interfere with, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service or to another customer.

03Number use

Numbers must be used in line with the requirements attached to them. Some destinations require a genuine local presence, address documentation, or restrict the type of traffic a number may carry.

If a requirement applies to a number you are using, we will tell you what it is before it is issued.

04Emergency calling

Emergency service availability depends on the country, the number type and the way calls are delivered. Do not assume a routed or forwarded number supports emergency calling. Confirm with us what applies to your specific setup, and make sure the people using the service know what to expect.

05Reporting misuse

If you believe a service is being misused, tell us. Reports are taken seriously and investigated. Where misuse is confirmed, we may suspend or restrict the traffic involved.

06Enforcement

Where we identify a breach, our first step is normally to contact the customer. Serious or ongoing misuse, or activity that risks harm to others or to the network, can lead to immediate suspension of the traffic or the account.

07Contact

Questions about this policy, or about whether a specific use is acceptable, can be sent through the contact form and we will give you a direct answer.
